Holding a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Bristol, he has successfully bridged the worlds of scientific research and financial consultancy, with a strong focus on R&D tax relief and grant funding strategy.

At FI Group, Dr. Abou-Chahine leads the development of high-impact funding strategies, supporting clients to access competitive UK and EU schemes such as Innovate UK, Horizon Europe, and the Biomedical Catalyst. He is a published commentator on funding policy, having written for outlets including Nature and the BioIndustry Association, where he analyses the evolving grant landscape in biotech and adjacent industries.

Alongside his work at FI Group, he is the founder of Chahine Consulting, advising early-stage ventures, investors, and universities on public funding, IP strategy, and technology commercialisation. He also mentors youth-led enterprises in Lebanon, supporting sustainable development through access to funding and business planning.
